Our Thankful Forrest

I know your thinking…….Christmas pumpkins?
Not exactly. My birthday is Nov.14th and I needed a reason or excuse to put up Christmas Trees a full week early. So here is my reasoning….decorated in fall colors (80% off from Michaels this week - we like the colors more than traditional colors) and add tags. Our Thanksgiving guest will get to write what they are thankful for and hang them on the tree. Isn’t that great? We love thanksgiving here. We realize a lot of society goes right from Halloween to Christmas, but goodness we have so much to be thankful for! So we make to take the time to honor this holiday. 
I got the ‘Forrest’ idea a few years back from Heidi Swapp’s pink forest of trees she posted on her blog. Here is a close up of the ornaments she used. Now, my DH would never go for pink trees so I used regular little pines ones that come in a set from Joann’s.
I am thankful for my life, it is a wonderful adventure. The Lord has blessed me richly. I plan to let all my loved ones know through this tree how each one of them has blessed me and how thankful I am for them.

really neat and I think it is gorgeous. I tried to decorate the kitchen table in a winter theme, last night. Todd put a swift halt to that.
He says I have to wait untill the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Very nice. I love it. Hmmm, I wonder if I could talk Dave into that next year. I could put them up for Halloween and just add/remove things for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Oh, sounds like a plan.
I have 2 trees, I just need to convince Dave we need more. LOL
