Outdoor Toy Storage
January 18, 2008 by adecoratedlife
My children are playing more and more outdoors as the weather has not been as cool recently. They also got a basketball hoop from a family member for Christmas. So with influx of playing comes more outdoor toys. There is really no where indoors to store them. So for now I have this hideous Rubbermaid container with no lid on it sitting in my yard. Blech, so not Martha. Any suggestions on affordable attractive outdoor toy storage? ![]()

no, I sure wish I did. I have a bigger issue since we took the garage away. Where and how do I store the bicycles so they don’t get ruined. Haven’t been able to look into that so much, but I must. Rainy season will start soon and the bikes shouldn’t be left out in that.
Maybe a pretty wooden bench that has a lift up lid, kind of like a toy box bench that one of my nephew’s had……..it’s a bench with a lift up lid that would store a lot of stuff?
Of course I don’t know how much $ they are…but you might come out a bit cheaper if you got a kit and did it yourself….I think I have seen them at Lowe’s…..I am not a lot of help am I?~ snort……racking here thinking…….
Bikes in the rain can be an issue as well as sticky fingers on them. I’m guessing the only solution is a shed. Not cheap by any means. But certainly weather and theft proof.
Anita, Dh suggested the same thing. I think however I should wait until Fall when the pool/garden stuff is on clearance for one. Wouldn’t want to pay full price!

We have a shed….it was pricey but we needed the extra storage. We put all our summer things in there as well as holiday stuff. We also have large rubbermaid container for smaller toys and such. Good luck!
